On 1 May 2006 The Australian Fair Pay Commission invited written submissions from interested organisations and individuals to help inform its first minimum wage determination. The period for receiving written submissions closed on 28 July, 2006.
The Australian Fair Pay Commission undertook to post submissions on its website except those where confidentiality was requested. However, the Commission maintains a discretion to withold submissions that are considered to fall outside the performance of its statutory functions.
Almost 90 submissions were received from employer, employee, community and professional stakeholder organisations; 13 were received from Government and/or government agencies; over 80 were received from individuals and private businesses. They can be downloaded from the links on the left-hand navigation bar. Please note all submissions have been posted as PDF documents.
